Chris apprenticed in Bavaria, Germany as a fireplace and woodstove mason from 1980-1983.

In central Europe for hundreds of years now, ceramic tile woodstoves are commonplace in the home. they are each seperately designed and built with using stone, brick and decorative tile that is specially made and fired for that purpose.

The firm that Chris apprentised with worked in Northern Italy, Austria, Alsace-France and all over Germany.

After three years he received his journeyman papers and was allowed to work as a journeyman.coming back to Toronto, he started working with his parents renovation business in 1984 and switched his focus to bathrooms, kitchens and floors, applying the same high level craftsmanship and detail work as was learned needed in Germany.

Through the years chris has built more than a hundred bathrooms, floors and kitchens of various styles.
